Abstract: This paper presents a comprehensive comparative study on the percentage of base content in different soaps available in the Indian market. The research focuses on the quantitative analysis of alkali components in various soap formulations, aiming to elucidate variations in base concentrations among popular soap brands. Through meticulous experimentation and analytical techniques, we assess and compare the alkaline content of diverse soaps, shedding light on potential implications for consumers and industry standards. The study employs titration methods to quantify the amount of base present, providing valuable insights into the chemical composition of these everyday products. The findings of this research contribute to consumer awareness, quality control, and the formulation of future soap products in the Indian market. This research undertakes a systematic investigation into the diverse range of soaps available in the Indian market, focusing on the quantitative analysis of their alkaline content. The study employs titration techniques to determine the percentage of base present in each soap, offering a comparative analysis across multiple brands. The objective is to unveil variations in alkali concentrations, thereby providing consumers, manufacturers, and regulatory bodies with valuable insights into the chemical composition of these widely used hygiene products. Our findings contribute to the broader understanding of soap formulations, potentially influencing consumer choices, quality assurance processes, and industry standards. Through rigorous experimentation and analysis, this study serves as a significant resource for both scientific inquiry and practical applications within the realm of soap chemistry.
