Generation of Solid wastes in general and biodegradable waste in particular is increasing, to reduce burden of daily generation of solid waste, concern towards management of solid waste has become an integral part of sustainable development. This research work concentrates on to the utilization of biodegradable kitchen waste for useful gas production called biogas and to design Biogas Plant for one wing of AIKTC engineering building. The mixed kitchen waste produced is collected and directly feed to the biogas plant model for biogas production. The plant design was to produce the biogas for cooking food to 1500 students per day by the canteen food waste. The vegetables waste and food waste was weighted at end of every day and noted for one month food waste calculation. The required quantity of gas is 27lits per day (14.58m3/day) to cook the food for average of 1500 students. The average generated food waste (68.4kgs/day) will generates 16.42m3 of biogas that is more than required biogas. The design parameter was shown in the conclusions.
