Abstract: The Key goal of the present study is to find out the significant difference between Emotional Intelligence and Academic performance among high school teachers. At school, literacy and numeracy are highly valued and need to be at the heart of the curriculum to raise standards, but I believe that they should be equal partners with the promotion of Emotional Intelligence. The investigator has adopted the survey method of research to find out the emotional intelligence and performance of high school teacher in mathematics in Dindigul. To find out the significance relation between Emotional Intelligence and Academic Performance among School Teachers, random sampling method has been advocated. 240 samples were selected for this study. Emotional Intelligence Scale (Constructed and Standardized by Sathiyagirirajan, S., (2010) has been utilized for identifying the Emotional Intelligence among Teachers. The Major finding shows that there is no significant difference between male and female of mathematics teacher in their Emotional Intelligence.
