Abstract: The Impact of Birth Order on Self-Concept and Alienation Abstract The purpose of the present study was to determine the impact of Birth Order on Self-Concept and Alienation. The sample consisted of 240 students each from Only Child, First Born ,Middle Born and Last Born. Random sampling technique was used to collect the data. The sample were administered Children’s self-concept scale (cscs) developed By Dr. S.P. Ahluwalia and Mackey's Adolescent Alienation Scale developed by James Mackey. The descriptive statistics and ANOVA was used to verify the hypothesis. The findings reveal that there were significant differences in Self-Concept and Alienation between the Birth Order .The results show the Only Child and First Born have high Self-Concept and Middle Born having the low Self-Concept, further findings show that Only Child feel more alienated and First Born feel less alienated.
