To the delight of millions of Sikhs, he was honoured with "Order of (Nishaan-e-Khalsa), the highest decorum bestowed upon by the Sikhs community. His works range from political commentary and contemporary satire to outstanding translations of Sikh religious texts and Urdu poetry.
