Vitamin C available as a dietary supplement in different dosage forms like Tablets, Injections, Drops, Syrups, Chewing Gums etc. over the counter. It is used to prevent and treat scurvy. It is an essential nutrient involved in the repair of tissue and important for immune system function. Determination of Vitamin C from various pharmaceutical and nutraceutical dosage forms can be easily done by volumetric titration method using 0.05M Iodine and starch solution as a titration indicator. But in case of Effervescent tablet, due to water soluble nature of all excipient used in effervescent tablet and colour used in effervescent tablet, end point of titration is not identified clearly. Same analysis was done on potentiometric titrator using Platinum electrode and calomel as a reference electrode. Results of potentiometric method was precise, Linear and consistent, and specific for analysis of Vitamin C.
