Abstract

The world is facing the adverse effects of deforestation, and the need for more space for the growing population is leading to the destruction of forests and farmland. The importance of plants and trees is, therefore, increasing with time. In this project, we have designed a microcontroller-based prototype model for monitoring and controlling the parameters of a greenhouse, where we can grow various plants under one roof. We have used sensors such as LM35, PHS220, and LDR to measure greenhouse parameters such as temperature, humidity, and light, and LM324 as a non-inverting amplifier to amplify the signals. The microcontroller used in the project is AT89S52, and the display is done through a 16x2 line LCD. Our manuscript provides a detailed description of the design and implementation of our prototype, including the components used and the rationale behind our design choices. We believe our project has significant practical applications, and the manuscript can be of interest to researchers and engineers working in this area.
