The Ethereum network is an open-source and decentralized blockchain platform that enables developers to create smart contracts and decentralized applications (dapps). It was launched in 2015 and offers a more flexible development environment and a wider range of features compared to the original blockchain concept. Ether, the network's native cryptocurrency, powers the network, and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) enables developers to deploy and run dapps on a secure, immutable, and transparent network. In addition, the Ethereum network supports custom token creation, which can be used for financial applications and asset tokenization. However, like other blockchain platforms, the Ethereum network faces scalability and security challenges, which are being addressed through ongoing upgrades such as Ethereum 2.0. Ultimately, the innovative blockchain technology of the Ethereum network has the potential to transform various industries.
