Abstract

Dissemination of education among men and women is a symbol of development and enrichment of the whole nation. Educational backwardness of the women resulted illiteracy, low confidence, insecurity and underdevelopment. As a heterogeneous society, India is still fighting against inequalities, poverty and outcome of ostracisms. Simultaneously, India needs inclusion of the excluded groups, such as women as a part of national mainstream. Socio-economic and cultural defiance’s are also there for pull back them. Emancipation of women with some of the necessary corrective initiatives, like- training for capacity building, skill enhancements etc. will help to multiplication of human resources in the whole nation. Lots of opportunities are there in India for expedite women. We need to create an environment from where they can get these opportunities. Emancipation of women from all kinds of impediments with the appropriate education will help them to improve their physical, psychological conditions. It will also bring economic and political improvements which can bring sustainable development in the society. This study described many censorious ideas amalgamated with women education like- malnutrition, socio-cultural challenges, economic backwardness, drop out etc. To find out rational and causal illustration of educational backwardness of Rajbanshi women along with some of the probable prospects are objectives of this article. To reach these objectives, a questionnaire based descriptive and analytical method has been followed by a methodological framework of social inclusion to delineate the real literacy status of the Rajbanshi women in West Bengal. Thus, the active role of the government, women themselves, civil society and many other actors are compulsory to upgrade the educational status of the women.
