Abstract

Water contamination has grown to be one of the main concerns in today's growing world. There are several factors, including urbanization, industrialization, and others, that contribute to the daily rise in water pollution. In this project, we show how to design and build a low-cost system for real-time reservoir water quantity and quality monitoring using the Internet of Things. Additionally, this system is made up of a number of sensors that can determine the physical and chemical characteristics of water that has been gathered in the reservoir using a variety of techniques. When employing a PH Sensor, Temperature Sensor, Turbidity Sensor, and TDS Sensor to measure the quality parameters, like PH, Temperature, and Turbidity, the findings can be extremely accurate when compared to the values of the manually measured parameters. With IoT monitoring, in this project, we can also able to obtain quantitative parameters which are difficult to measure manually. By using a flow sensor, and ultrasonic depth measuring sensor we can find discharge and depth of water in the reservoir smartly and cost-effectively.
