Emotional Intelligence, Discipline of study, birth order and type of family.
The study was conducted to assess the level of emotional intelligence among female adults pursuing under graduation with respect to discipline of study, birth order and type of family. The research design used in this study is Ex post facto, covariate and cross sectional in nature. The researcher selected a sample of 150 students. Of which, 70 students were from arts and 80 students were from non-arts discipline in Chennai district. The tools used by the researcher is Wong and Law Emotional intelligence scale (2002). The data was analyzed by Independent 't' test. The results of the study revealed that discipline of study has a significant impact on self emotional appraisal and emotional intelligence of female adults.
