Abstract: Abstract: This study aimed to conduct a comparative analysis of stature estimation from different body parts among two populations in Lucknow, India, namely Brahmin and Yadava. The precision and reliability of height assessment from different body parts, including femur, tibia, humerus, radius, ulna, length of foot, and hand length, were assessed. The Brahmin and Yadava populations were chosen for their distinct genetic and cultural characteristics. The study found that the accuracy of stature estimation varied among the different body parts and between the two populations. The femur and tibia were the most accurate predictors of stature for both populations, while hand length was the least accurate. Furthermore, tremendous contrasts in stature estimation were seen between the Brahmin and Yadava populaces. The outcomes of this study have significant implications for forensic anthropology, particularly in cases where the remains belong to individuals from these populations, and can contribute to improving the accuracy and reliability of forensic anthropological techniques.
