| Abstract: | This paper examines the political and economic impact of the bank crisis in the United States on India in 2023. The study uses a qualitative research methodology, including a literature review and expert interviews, to analyze the impact of the crisis on India's economy, banking and financial services sector, and manufacturing and IT sectors. The study finds that the bank crisis had significant economic impacts on India, including a decline in the value of the rupee, a decline in foreign investment, and a negative impact on India's exports. The crisis also had implications for India's banking and financial services sector, as well as its manufacturing and IT sectors. In response, the Indian government implemented a number of measures aimed at stabilizing the economy, including fiscal stimulus packages and monetary policy measures. The study concludes that the bank crisis in the United States highlighted the need for stronger regulatory frameworks, regional and global coordination and cooperation, and timely policy interventions to mitigate the effects of economic crises. The crisis also underscored the importance of diversifying India's export markets and reducing its reliance on the United States. The paper provides important insights and lessons for policymakers and other decision-makers on how to prevent and manage economic crises in the future. |
