ABSTRACT: The study was designed to treat the effluent from sugarcane sector .As cane itself contain 67.5% of water out of which 13.4%goes in bagasses
,2.6% in filter cake and 0.6%in molasses.The use of fresh water in sugarcane industry and result huge amount of waste water is not a secret to anyone. The use of chemical in large quantity has caused a great risk and damage to the ground water ,soil and ultimately lead to destruction of our environment
.Treatment of industrial sugarcane waste water is not an easy task .The purpose of our study is treatment and reuse it for different purpose. Coagulation with alum , ferric chloride is done in this process .The result of the study discloses that BOD and COD were in huge amount which was successfully treated.
