Abstract: Sustainable development landscape planning is a multidisciplinary approach that seeks to balance ecological conservation, social well-being, and economic prosperity within the context of land use and management. This abstract provides an overview of the key principles and considerations involved in sustainable development landscape planning and highlights its importance in addressing the complex challenges of the 21st century. Effective sustainable development landscape planning requires a comprehensive understanding of the natural environment, including its ecological processes, biodiversity, and ecosystem services. By integrating ecological principles, such as habitat connectivity, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable resource management, planners can ensure the long-term health and resilience of ecosystems. This approach recognizes that ecological integrity is essential for supporting human well-being and maintaining essential ecosystem functions. In addition to ecological considerations, sustainable development landscape planning recognizes the interdependence between society and the environment. It takes into account the needs, values, and aspirations of local communities, promoting their active participation in decision-making processes. Social equity, cultural preservation, and quality of life are integral components of sustainable development, fostering inclusive and vibrant communities. In conclusion, sustainable development landscape planning offers a holistic and integrative approach to address the complex challenges of the 21st century. By considering ecological, social, and economic dimensions, it seeks to create landscapes that are resilient, equitable, and prosperous. Through effective collaboration and integrated decision-making processes, sustainable development landscape planning can contribute to a sustainable future, where the well-being of both humans and the environment is prioritized.
