ASSESSMENT OF THE AWARENESS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE JOINT ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 2014-01 IN LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET Cora M. Dogui-is School of Criminal Justice System and Public Safety Abstract Road safety is a multidimensional process that depends on human variables, particularly their adherence to road safety directives, as well as technical and environmental advancements. So, the purpose of this study was to evaluate how JAO 2014-01 has been implemented. In particular, it assessed the respondents' level of knowledge on the characteristics and penalties of PUV/UV under JAO 2014-01, the extent of the order's provisions' implementation, and the level of influence of the factors influencing that implementation. Questionnaires were utilized as the primary data collection technique in a descriptive survey. The sample for this study included of 50 drivers/operators and 50 commuters, and it was carried out in La Trinidad, Benguet. The findings indicated that the drivers and operators are well-informed of the JAO 2014-01's provisions, indicating that the respondents are aware of both its features and the potential repercussions of breaking any of those provisions. The respondents felt that the administrative order was being enforced effectively, which showed the effectiveness of the enforcers. On the other hand, the discovered factors barely affect how JAO 2014-01's provisions are put into practice. A suggested development plan was created in order to raise the level of knowledge among drivers, operators, and commuters as well as to facilitate the implementation of JAO 2014-01.
