Abstract: The advent of electric vehicles (EVs) has revolutionized the automotive industry by promoting clean and sustainable transportation. As the demand for electric vehicles continues to increase, efficient and convenient payment methods are gaining even more importance. Wireless charging technology has emerged as a promising solution to the limitations of traditional plug-in chargers. This article provides a comprehensive review of wireless charging for electric vehicles, highlighting various technologies, devices, and the issues associated with their use. We discuss inductive charging, resonant inductive coupling and magnetic resonance techniques along with their advantages, limitations and operational considerations.We are also exploring the impact of wireless charging on the electric vehicle ecosystem, including architectural needs, modeling efforts and related topics. This review aims to provide a better understanding of electric vehicle wireless charging technology and thus encourage further research and development in this area
