Abstract: As the global population ages, understanding the physiological changes associated with aging becomes increasingly crucial for maintaining health and well-being, particularly in women. This paper investigates the impact of aging on nutrient absorption and metabolism in women. With advancing age, alterations in gastrointestinal physiology, hormonal changes, and lifestyle factors can significantly influence the absorption, utilization, and metabolism of essential nutrients. This paper reviews the current literature on the effects of aging on nutrient absorption and metabolism in women, focusing on key nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, and macronutrients. Additionally, it discusses the implications of these changes for women's health and provides recommendations for promoting optimal nutrition in aging women. As women age, physiological changes occur that affect the body's ability to absorb and metabolize essential nutrients. Through an extensive review of literature, this study examines the various alterations in gastrointestinal function, hormonal balance, and metabolic processes associated with aging in women. The discussion emphasizes the significance of understanding these changes for maintaining optimal health and well-being. By shedding light on the impact of aging on nutrient absorption and metabolism, this paper underscores the importance of developing tailored interventions and strategies to support healthy aging in women.
