Abstract: The study of Antioxidants and their implications is one of the key interest in scientific community. Current study has focused to provide different types of antioxidants their classification with naturally occurring food sources and their antioxidant constituent. An outlook of the various available method of antioxidant activity.In vitro methods are explained with their procedure along with its mechanism for 1,1- Diphenyl- 2- picrylhydrazyl, as this method was found to be used mostly for in vitro antioxidant activity evaluation purpose. Summarized information on the various method available provides with reliable information to about the benefits of antioxidant effects.
