Abstract: Safeguarding digital assets is crucial with the growing use of cloud-based 3D printing. This paper investigates the challenges and vulnerabilities in this ecosystem, highlighting the need for a comprehensive strategy to protect intellectual property, sensitive data, and user privacy. Examining existing security and privacy frameworks, the study identifies gaps and proposes strong solutions, including encryption, access controls, secure data transmission, and innovative privacy measures. The research also explores the regulatory landscape, addressing legal frameworks and compliance requirements. These solutions aim to build a secure foundation, fostering trust in cloud-based 3D printing. This work contributes to ongoing discussions, offering practical insights and a roadmap for a secure and privacy-conscious framework for this transforming technology.
