The study aimed to adapt the Prosocial Tendencies Measure Questionnaire-Revised (PTM-R) by adding two dimensions, Diffusion of Responsibility and Religiosity, to make it more relevant for the Indian context. The researchers developed a new version called Prosocial Tendencies Measure-Diffusion of Responsibility and Religiosity (PTM-DR), consisting of 33 items with 8 subscales. A pilot study was conducted with 150 college students aged 18-25. The results indicated high reliability and validity, with Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.865. The study provides a psychometrically sound instrument to measure prosocial behavior, expanding research by considering cultural and social factors. Limitations include potential response bias and cultural variations
