Food plays a crucial role in everyone’s life, making it essential to understand which nutrients are beneficial or harmful to our health. While convenient, many processed foods are high in calories but lack the fiber, water, and essential minerals found in natural foods. This imbalance can contribute to obesity and increase the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Regular consumption of junk food is associated with a higher likelihood of obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and coronary heart conditions. It is vital for individuals to limit their intake of such harmful foods and opt for healthier alternatives to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle. The negative impacts of junk food on the body include obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and even certain types of skin cancer. It is important to assess public knowledge about junk food consumption across different regions. This will allow governments to implement more effective regulations, control misleading advertisements, and address the exaggerated health claims often made by junk food manufacturers.
