Fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, abdominal pain.
Fibrolamellar HCC is an unusual variant of HCC showing varied imaging patterns with
various benign hepatic lesions having similar imaging findings. A case of 40-year-old
female who presented with abdominal pain for 10 days. An ultrasound was performed
which showed a larger heterogenous mass in the right lobe of the liver followed by
further investigation with computed tomography (CT, MRI). Serum alpha fetoprotein
was not elevated, and hepatitis B antigen was negative.
