This paper explores the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the sports industry, examining its applications across various domains, including performance analysis, officiating, injury prevention, fan engagement, and athlete recruitment. AI technologies, such as machine learning algorithms and computer vision, are revolutionizing how teams analyze performance metrics, develop strategies, and manage player health. The use of AI tools, like Video Assistant Referees (VAR) and tracking technologies in leagues such as the NFL, enhances the accuracy of officiating while reducing human error. Furthermore, AI-driven recruitment strategies enable teams to identify and evaluate talent more objectively, setting benchmarks for future scouting practices. This paper also addresses ethical considerations related to data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the balance between technological advancements and human expertise.
