Abstract

UV-visible spectroscopy is a versatile analytical method used to measure the absorbance of light in the UV and visible regions. It involves techniques such as single-beam and double-beam spectrophotometry and finds applications in quantitative and qualitative analysis of compounds, monitoring reaction kinetics, and material characterization. Recent advancements have improved sensitivity and precision, expanding its use in chemistry, biochemistry, and environmental science. Challenges include sample matrix interference and calibration needs, with future trends focusing on high-throughput analysis and integration with other methods.
