The project investigates using banana bracts, a byproduct of agriculture, as a substitute raw material for making paper. Because of its heavy reliance on wood pulp, the conventional paper business contributes to environmental deterioration and deforestation. A considerable quantity of non-fruit biomass, such as bracts, is produced by banana plants, which are commonly grown in tropical areas and are usually thrown away. The goal of this research is to create environmentally friendly and sustainable paper by using these bracts, which will minimize environmental effect and agricultural waste. This project shows the possibility of valuing agricultural waste by introducing banana bracts as a sustainable raw resource for papermaking. Additional investigation might concentrate on refining the pulping procedure and assessing the production's scalability to facilitate commercialization.
