Abstract

Vithalapur is a prominent village in mayasandra hobli taluk and is located approximately south-east of the taluk headquarters.M. Far away. Located between mayasandra and Yediyur, the village is located at a height of about above sea level. The elevation is. It is a region of mountains and rivers. The Adichunchanagiri Hill to the Southwest and the haddinakallu to the South have the massive rock formation of the God Anjaneya granular. Small hills are found in the range of these hills. The range starts from haddinakallu Hanumantharaya Hill and extends to baitharahosahalli, ramasagar and timbalapur. The Shimsha river flows from East to Southeast. To the North is sumbige and kibbanahalli surrounded by prehistoric sites. The region is surrounded by vast plains, hills, valleys and creeks, which naturally support human life. There are caves in the vast hill ranges of the vittalapur environment that facilitate primitive human habitation. Naturally, the line of hills starting from Kunti Hills runs through Melkote, Adichunchanagiri, mayasandra, kibbanahalli and banasandra hill ranges and plays a significant role in linking the prehistoric settlements of Chitradurga and Ballari districts. This is because these bases appear to be on the same line. Given the settlements along this line, it can be said that these provided opportunities for the development of culture in their respective areas as a measure of primitive habitation. Mahadeva C. They have discovered a Neolithic base at nearby Adichunchanagiri. The grey fold slices and the + shaped red hue images are not to be found. Sampath Iyengar p. And Ramakrishna. He has identified the early Paleolithic, Middle Paleolithic and late Paleolithic cultures. Late Paleolithic, Neolithic, and megalithic sites span the hilly slope Valley to the west of vittalapur, as far as Ramsagar, baitharahosahalli, and thimmalapur. The base is naturally found mostly in the Pebble cores of the Middle Paleolithic.
