This AI-powered mock interview platform uses a modern tech stack for optimal performance. The React.js/Next.js frontend delivers a fast, interactive interface with server-side rendering for crucial features like live interview sessions. Clerk handles secure authentication with social login options, while Node.js powers the backend APIs for session management. Google's Gemini API drives the core AI functionality, generating role-specific technical questions and evaluating responses. For data storage, Drizzle ORM connects to Neon DB's serverless PostgreSQL database, ensuring scalable and reliable performance. The platform processes media entirely in the browser using WebRTC for video capture and the Web Speech API for real-time transcription. This client-side approach guarantees user privacy by preventing server storage of sensitive media. The system also implements custom analytics to monitor performance and user engagement. All components are containerized with Docker for easy deployment, and the modular architecture allows for future expansion. The tech stack balances cutting-edge capabilities with practical considerations like privacy, scalability, and maintainability. This combination enables the platform to deliver realistic mock interviews with detailed feedback while handling complex media processing efficiently.
