Problem of Climate Change and Judicial Interpretation of Environment Protection Principles Abstract Climate change is one of the major global problems. It is considered that human activities have resulted the climate change. There are several indicators that our world is facing a historic catastrophe, including melting icebergs, rising global temperatures, and more catastrophic weather occurrences. The intricate origins and effects of climate change are examined in this article, along with how human activity contributes to the phenomena and the disastrous effects it is already having on ecosystems and human cultures worldwide. There are many measures to protect the environment and many international conventions has also been held regarding climate change, ozone depletion or sustainable development. Every nation has its own legal mechanism to control the environmental protection due to their geographical values. Also, there are some common principles of environmental law which can be applied equally. Here, various principles of environment are being considered and also the judicial responses over these principles have also been studied. Some major principles like Polluter Pays, precautionary or public trust has been analyzed, using the major case laws in India. However, it won’t be an easy journey. Governments, corporations, and people must all work together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in a significant, rapid, and long-term manner in order to slow down the rate of warming. It will necessitate significant changes in the way we structure our towns and neighbourhoods, the way we grow and move food, how we create and use energy, and how we divide the costs and rewards of a zero-carbon future.
