Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed the way businesses interact with customers in the digital era. AI chatbots are widely used in various sectors such as banking, e-commerce, customer service, and online platforms to provide instant responses, 24/7 assistance, and efficient service to users. The present study titled “A Study on Consumer Perception Towards AI Chatbots with Special Reference to Tiruppur City” aims to analyze the awareness, usage, and perception of consumers towards AI chatbot technology. The study focuses on understanding how consumers in Tiruppur perceive the usefulness, convenience, reliability, and effectiveness of AI chatbots in their daily digital interactions. Primary data for the study were collected through a structured questionnaire from selected respondents using a simple random sampling method, while secondary data were obtained from journals, websites, articles, and previous research studies related to artificial intelligence and chatbot applications. The collected data were analyzed using simple statistical tools such as percentage analysis and tabulation. The findings of the study reveal that many consumers are aware of and regularly use AI chatbots for quick information and customer support services because of their speed, availability, and ease of use. However, some respondents expressed concerns about the accuracy of responses and the lack of human touch in complex situations. The study concludes that AI chatbots have become an important tool for improving customer service efficiency, and organizations can enhance consumer satisfaction by improving chatbot intelligence, personalization, and integrating human assistance when required.
