The power system of a country plays a vital role in determining the status of the development of a state. With the potential to develop, the growth of Indian industries faces a major hindrance of the scarcity of power supply. Jharkhand, located in the Eastern part of India is one of the leading states in terms of economic growth. At current prices, Jharkhand’s total GSDP stood at Rs. 3,61,381 crore (US$ 49.48 billion) in 2021-22, a 5% increase over FY20 but faces an acute shortage in meeting its energy demand. The present conventional & renewable sources and methods are unable to cope up the generation with the demand scale. Jharkhand generates 3,002 megawatts (MW) of power per day against a daily requirement of almost 5,700 MW, a deficit of more than 2,600 MW. With the fast depleting of conventional sources and harnessing of renewable energy from all high potential areas the existing techniques of power production never seem to fill the wide gap between the demand & supply for Jharkhand. This paper provides consideration for nea w method for the generation of electricity using Off-grid Small wind turbines, Jharkhand is a landlocked state approximately 200 Km away from a coastline blessed with small rivers and hills and so ideal for a SWoff-grid setup. These techniques used can provide a big boost to electricity production and considerably decrease the dependency on TPP’s and help in overcoming the electricity generation shortage of Jharkhand. An analysis of the Net energy produced by the plant is formulated for deriving the feasibility of the concerned site and for ranking various sites in Jharkhand based on their optimum generation of energy.
