Abstract: Molluscum contagiosum is a common cutaneous viral infection in children. It is a benign but nonetheless frequently troublesome viral infection that generally affects young children. Many studies have shown that, it comprises nearly 1% of all the skin diseases and its incidence has increased nearly fourfold during past twenty years. Homoeopathy has excellent scope in the treatment of molluscum contagiosum. The treatment is targeted towards the root of the illness and hence homoeopathy brings about lasting cure rather than temporary relief.
Keywords: Benign, Molluscum contagiosum,Homoeopathy,silicea.
