Abstract: Due to the increase in number of vehicles the traffic rate of the road is also increasing day by day in the modern world and cause discomfort for the movement of vehicles and lead to major accidents. So the information about the vehicle movements should be acquired in a faster manner, for that purpose, the exchange of data with secure connection between the heterogeneous network plays a vital role for connecting and analyzing the more number of vehicles helps to achieve the smart transportation system. The proposed work is based on Internet Of connected Vehicles (IOV) which can perform Vehicle to Vehicle, Vehicle to Infrastructure communication. It is very useful to detect the traffic, congestion avoidance on the road and provide a safe movement of vehicles with dual authentication and key management scheme. When it comes to secure network, usually IOV or VANET includes Trusted Authority(TA) which is used to supply the services to the nodes in the network. It is essential to keep up the authentication, confidentiality of the messages and the information transmitted between the Trusted Authority and nodes in the network. For making the network more secure Dual authentication is also proposed in which it produces higher security level compared to the existing VANET models in which Vehicular trust security algorithm is used. To make the driving more comfortable, the traffic information and the other information should be communicated in a secure and smart way, in this proposed model it has been implemented using the OMNet++ software.
