Objective: This article involves Analytical method development and validation of Empagliflozin by using UV spectroscopic method.
Parameters to be determined: UV spectroscopic work for Empagliflozin is done at 227nm in methanol and water. Different analytical performance parameters such as linearity, precision, accuracy and % recovery are determined according to ICH guidelines.
Results: Empagliflozin at its respective lambda max shows a linearity in the concentration range of 1-25 mug/ml. the method was validated statistically. The limit of detection and limit of quantification was found to be 0.0106mug/ml and 0.0324mug/ml. the percentage recovery of formulation was 97.47% respectively. The percent recovery values of pure drug were in between 98.72 %. 99.6% for Accuracy study the % RSD was found to be less than 2 for precision study.
