Abstract: In today’s world digitalization has on its verge, the need of the hour is to become technically sophisticated and upgraded. It is all about one-way and reverse journeys in technology and processes, as shown when a bank publishes a mobile app and another company is interested in designing new applications for banks and other streamlined ways of living. With the advent of e-commerce in other sectors and the subsequent expansion of digital marketing, the corporate world has seen the popularity of online shopping rise. Digital marketing is a way through which online technologies and other digital medias are used to promote the goods or services. It is a way through which business remain connected with its customers. It facilitates the promotion of brand, creates the brand awareness and convert the interest of customers into the sales. Urban India’s digital footprint is expanding rapidly, but there is still a lot of room for growth. Digitalization is not a norm, it became a necessity today. To examine the future shape of Digital Marketing in the business world, this study analyses how the Digital Marketing is occupying market space, the significances and intricacies of digital marketing. It further concludes two major industry-specific marketing specific with special reference to Digital Marketing.
