Prevention of Railway Accidents Using Arduino-Based Safety System is a system which is used to give command to an obstacle (person or animal) on Railway track by generating alarm through buzzer when train is at 500m from it (person or animal). In this System Arduino is used as a microcontroller it has 14 digital input/outputs pins. It consists of both a physical programmable circuit board. Ultrasonic sensor is used to detect and monitor the location of train. Buzzer is used to generate alarm at track. DC Servomotor is used at wheels on train to move it automatically by apply a switch. Arduino as a microcontroller provide signal to Ultrasonic Sensor through echo and trigger, it detects the train and again send signal to analog pins of Arduino where buzzer connect with LEDs they sense and buzzer generate alarm and light blinks.
By the use of LED bulbs it can also work in light by blinking bulb and also alert through it with sounds.
This system is a cost-effective. And on-board detection system and low-power embedded system, was designed through it which facilitate better safety standards for rail tracks for preventing railway accidents. This shows that it is a new innovative technology that will increase the reliability of safety systems of railway.
