Abstract

Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State Policy are two wheels of the Chariot of the Constitution of India. These Principles and aspirations of the Constitution Makers need to be preferred and utilized for the welfare of the Nation and Citizens. In interpreting these aspirations, the balance must be adopted known as harmonious Construction. Through this paper, the Author wants to analyse the relationship between Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State and their role in the development of the aspiration of the Constitution, the role of the Judiciary in developing these principles, and challenges in the way forward.
