Manpower is essential in businesses particularly because they cannot maintain operations without it. An employee of an organization affects everything in a business from production to client relationships. At first, people only recognized two genders i.e. male & female and opportunities were divided between them. But now, LGBT+ (Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) is also recognized as the third gender in 2019 in our country. Law recognized them as a third gender and accepted them in the same way.
But people of the heteronormative society are still not accepting the fact. Around the world, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender people face discrimination in almost all aspects of their lives. They are denied access to employment, education and health care. They are also the part of society, so they must be accepted with open arms.
They are targeted for attacks solely because of their gender expression or perceived sexual orientation. They hide their private lives from colleagues and clients for fear of homophobia, exclusion or in case they are overlooked for valuable promotions. LGBT people, whose sexuality often has nothing to do with the discrimination they encounter, face further stigma still due to a widespread lack of understanding of the issue.
LGBT+ inclusion is so important for making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable in bringing their whole selves to work. Talented person is always helpful for organization irrespective of their gender. So organization should adopt equal employment opportunity policy and must have unbiased mentality.
