Abstract: The global pandemic has been catastrophic to all the sectors. Therefore, the present study, a result of a student-faculty initiative, was conducted to understand the impact of COVID-19 on child labour in India. This study discovers that the children were facing financial difficulties, for which they were working outside homes. The number of child labourers has increased by 8.4 million to 160 million around the globe, over the course of the past four years. This study makes use of primary and secondary sources and concludes how COVID-19 worsened the conditions of child labour. “We are losing ground in the fight against child labour and the last year has not made that fight any easier”, said UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore. Kailash Satyarthi, in 2014 said, “There is no greater violence than to deny the dreams of our children.” Children are like blooming flowers of the society and they have to be protected from its damaging effects. Several steps were taken by the government to aware more than 90% of the children of the existing pandemic who were also taking precautions. The number of children forced to work in India accounts for 7.3% of the total number of children forced to work elsewhere in the globe. Our National and State Governments along with NGOs, have taken positive actions to combat this issue and the significance of the role they play cannot be ignored. IN CRISIS LIES OPPORTUNITY!
