| Abstract: | Vaccines are important for preventing infectious diseases in dogs, and the cold chain is crucial for maintaining the efficacy of vaccines. The cold chain is a series of procedures used to maintain vaccines at the recommended temperature range from the time of manufacture until administration to the patient. This paper discusses the importance of maintaining the cold chain of vaccines in canine health. It covers the science of vaccines and the consequences of vaccine failure, the components of the cold chain, and the factors that can affect the cold chain. The paper also provides recommendations for maintaining the cold chain of vaccines in a veterinary practice, including monitoring and recording temperatures, training staff, and establishing protocols for vaccine storage and handling. |
