This article examines Russia's use of hybrid warfare tactics against Ukraine and how Western responses have countered Moscow's machinations. It discusses how Russia launched cyber and information operations prior to its invasion alongside support for separatist groups. However, Western backing for Ukraine through military aid, economic sanctions, and information campaigns have shifted the strategic balance against Russian interests. Despite gains in traditional military might, Russia's hybrid approach has been exposed by Ukraine's resilience and Western responses. Going forward, Moscow may escalate asymmetric hybrid tactics, but Ukraine has emerged as a symbol of resistance, revealing the lacunae in Russian authority
