Background: Sneha Kalpana is a unique preparation of oleaginous medicine which is included under Bhaishajya Kalpana. It is of two types Ghrita and Taila Kalpana. Ksheeraguduchitailais one such Tailaformulation which is mentioned in Chakradatta in VataraktaChikitsaPrakarana,used mainly forthe management of Vatarakta and some other conditions like Kusta, Twakadosha, Vruna, Visarpa, Kanduand Dadru. KsheeraguduchiTaila contains Guduchi, Goksheera, MurchitaTilaTaila.
Aim: A pharmaceutical study of KsheeraguduchiTaila.
Methods: KsheeraguduchiTaila was prepared in three batches, according to the general method ofpreparation of Taila Kalpana. Thepharmaceutical procedures which were adopted in this study include preparation of MurchitaTilaTaila, Guduchikwatha,GuduchiKalka and KsheeraguduchiTaila.
Conclusion:KsheeraguduchiTaila isused as internally,beneficial inVatarakta, Kusta, Twakdosha, Vruna, Visarpa, Kanduand Dadru.
