Abstract: Abstract: Ipomoea carnea, commonly known as pink morning glory or bush morning glory. As the demand for sustainable energy sources increases, exploring alternative feedstocks for anaerobic digestion, such as Ipomoea carnea, becomes crucial. The study involves evaluating the biomethane potential, degradation efficiency, and methane yield of Ipomoea carnea biomass during anaerobic digestion. The results will contribute valuable insights into the potential utilization of this plant as a renewable energy resource and its implications on waste management and greenhouse gas mitigation. Methanization, a process involving the conversion of organic matter into methane-rich biogas through anaerobic digestion, holds significant potential for sustainable energy production and waste management. This study aimed to assess the methanization properties of Ipomoea carnea, a widely available plant species with promising characteristics for biomethane production.
