In silico strategies for rational drug design include quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) and quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) research. The purpose of these techniques is to maximize the current leads in order to enhance their physicochemical and biological processes properties. To additionally anticipate the biological functions of untested and occasionally unobtainable substances. When compared to conventional drug discovery methods, rational drug design methods need less time and money during the drug design process. QSAR/QSPR investigations can be used to develop and identify novel inhibitors from scratch or to improve the distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity profiles of identified compounds from different sources.
In this study, the main structural characteristics of antiviral drugs from various chemical classes were evaluated through their influence on anti-viral activity. The quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSARs) for these drugs were used to further evaluate the activity of the most active compounds against various experiments.
