The study aims at amalgamation of information technology into the undergraduate classrooms. The students’ area of study through technology is day by day widening, the globe culture entering into the classrooms in India, blended and flipped learning techniques are evolving in the rural colleges. UGC along with the support of state government: collegiate education department, rural colleges are equipped with computers, LCD projectors, free laptops to the students, WiFi connections et al .New Technologies make distance learning easierand allow for real-time feedback and improved collaborative efforts between large groups of people. Technologies like podcasting and websites allow students to learn on their own time and have participation even in case of missed classes. Out of classroom participation enablers like student write-ups, blogs & Wiki, widen the scope and provide them a chance to show skills in a new environment. Providing student with interactive audio-visual medium makes it easier for teacher to hone skills, which would otherwise take more time.Since there are no socio-economic boundaries as such with online content, people learn to reciprocate beyond geographical boundaries as education through technology is the way towards the future.
Blended learning is a combination of online and face-to-face interactions. It bridges the gap between traditional and digital learning techniques. It helps us broaden our concept of confined classroom teaching. Such methods are helpful to maximize learning for all students. Flipped learning is getting popular globally. This new concept is engrossing and gaining momentum in the field of higher education as it can transform the entire concept of teaching and learning.
