Human error and negligence is the main reason for the rise in the number of accidents that happen every year. To tackle this problem, a self-driving vehicle can be designed and built. The self-driving vehicle can be driven without human intervention. The vehicle can detect the vehicles travelling alongside it, people crossing the road, traffic signals, and many other things that are encountered while travelling via road. The vehicle can sense its surroundings using sensors and a camera. The prototype to be developed will make use of various computer applications like computer vision, image processing, and real-time sensors to travel, thereby giving the user a smooth ride. The intelligent decision-making process will play a major role in traffic rules being followed. Like a machine learning process, the input data will be collected and the decision-making will be based on both the input and the possible outcome.
