This study aimed to find the relationship between life satisfaction, locus of control, and self-esteem. The sample consisted of 152 participants aged 18-25. The study examined three hypotheses: (1) life satisfaction would be positively correlated with self-esteem, (2) life satisfaction would be negatively correlated with locus of control, and (3) self-esteem would be negatively correlated with locus of control. Assessment tools included the Life satisfaction scale by Hardeo Ojha, Self-esteem scale by Rosenberg and Rotter's Locus of Control. To test these hypotheses, participants completed measures assessing the three variables. Statistical analyses, including correlation coefficients, were conducted to examine the relationships between these variables. The results provided support for the first hypothesis, revealing a significant positive correlation between life satisfaction and self-esteem in young adults. This suggests that individuals with higher self-esteem tend to report higher levels of life satisfaction. The second hypothesis also received support, indicating a negative correlation between life satisfaction and locus of control. This suggests that the perceived control individuals have over their own lives influences their overall life satisfaction. However, the third hypothesis was not supported, as there was no significant correlation found between self-esteem and locus of control. This suggests that an individual's self-esteem does not appear to be influenced by their perception of control over their lives.
