| Abstract: | Abstract: In this comprehensive review, we explore the link between endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and cognition via the gut brain axis. Exploring the dynamic interactions, mechanisms we elucidate how EDCs influence cognitive function through alteration in the environment of the gut microbiome with preclinical and clinical evidences. Our investigation delves in to intricacies of EDCs, gut and cognition triad revealing the integral connections. From microbial alterations to significance of Gut-brain axis in exhibiting negative effects of EDCs, we navigate the concealed links, offering insights into potential avenues for therapeutic interventions and environmental policies aimed at safeguarding cognitive health in the face of pervasive EDC exposure. |
