A STUDY TO ASSESS THE EFFECTIVENESS OF VIDEO ASSISSTED TEACHING PROGRAMME REGARDING THE KNOWLEDGE ON ANTENATAL EXERCISES AMONG B.ED COLLEGE STUDENTS IN SELECTED B.ED COLLEGES AT MYSORE”
ABSTRACT
The present study was aimed to assess the effectiveness of video assisted teaching programme regarding the knowledge on antenatal exercises among B.ED college students in selected bed colleges at Mysore. The objectives of the study was to assess the level of knowledge among B.ED college students regarding antenatal exercise in terms of pretest score, to find out the effectiveness of the video assisted teaching program regarding antenatal exercise among the B.ED students in terms of post test score and to find out the association between the level of knowledge and selected socio demographic variables in selected B.ED College. The research design selected for the study was quasi-experimental design. Convenient sampling was used for the study. After selection of two B.Ed. College in Mysore investigator selected 60 B.Ed. students, 30 students from each college by using convenient sampling method. One group is considered as experimental and other group control group. Structured questionnaire was used to collect the data. The results of this study showed that Considering Experiment group, in pre-test, 90.00% of them are having inadequate knowledge score, 10.00% of them are having moderate level of knowledge score and none of them are having adequate level of knowledge score. In post-test, none of them are having inadequate knowledge score, 40.00% of them are having moderate level of knowledge score and 60.00% of them are having adequate level of knowledge score. There is a significant difference between Pre-test and post-test knowledge score.
