Abstract: The nitrogen-containing heterocycle derivative benzotriazole has three nitrogen atoms in its first, second, and third positions. Every nitrogen atom has a lone pair in its unshared form. Five-membered rings can exist in tautomeric forms due to the unshared lone pair of electrons. The class of fused heterocycles that benzotriazole is a member of has a traizole ring joined with a benzene ring. The rise of drug-resistant fungal infections has decreased the efficacy of azole medicines. In spite of this, heterocyclic compounds are nevertheless thought to be a good starting point for creating an antibacterial agent that is more effective.Several human diseases are caused by enteroviruses and are currently clinically untreatable, pushing the research to identify new antivirals. A notable number of Benzo[d][1,2,3]triazol-1(2)-yl derivatives were designed, synthesized, and in vitro evaluated for cytotoxicity and antiviral activity against a wide spectrum of RNA positive- and negative-sense virus Enteroviruses are the cause of many human diseases that are now incurable, which is driving research to develop novel antivirals. a noteworthy quantity of benzo[d]1, 2, 3Triazol-1(2)-yl derivatives were created, synthesised, and their cytotoxicity and antiviral efficacy assessed in vitro against a broad range of negative- and positive-sense RNA viruses.
Keywords: Benzotriazole, Antibacterial, Antiviral, Enteroviruses.
